The waves of the sea help me get back to me
We usually leave the dock around 7AM but can schedule to leave at any time to accommodate you. It takes about two and a half hours to get to the Dry Tortugas from Key West. We can plan ahead and arrange to bring lunch for you (upcharge) or you can bring your own.
The Dry Tortuga's are located almost 70 miles west of Key West, where legends of pirates and sunken treasure lie. The coral and sand compose a cluster of seven islands, that make the perfect sanctuary. Fort Jefferson is located on the largest island, Garden Key. This fort was constructed in 1846 and was never finished. It was also used as a prison during the civil war. Wondering through the fort with or without a guide is great to learn about Florida's history. The Dry Tortuga's are known for their bird and marine life. Here you can snorkel the pristine reef, sunbathe on the beautiful beaches, and offers great bird watching. They have three exclusive birds only to the Dry Tortuga's, the paregrine falcon, sooty tern, and yellow-billed cuckoo. This is a must see when visiting the Florida keys!
